Rome where beauty reigns supreme

I just recently returned from a wedding anniversary trip and it was truly awesome! As you are aware my blog speaks about beauty, cosmetics, the trends and other industry topics. However in this post, I will address beauty in all things!

The Architecture, the people, the food, the culture and the focus on health/wellness through fitness and beauty. Now let’s get started with telling my story through observation and pictures!


There is a great appreciation for me and the detail of architecture in Rome, Italy. There is such great detail in everything!

I just loved being in this type of environment. The people were always on the move and did what it takes to get the job done.

As I watched people to see similarities and the differences of my daily routine. Though I was a tourist, I wanted to explore the lifestyles of everyday people and what makes them tick. One of the most that I picked up on was health and wellness.

Health/Wellness and Fitness

I purposely sought out any shops devoted to health, beauty and fitness. I took pictures of ads as indicated above promoting being fit through working out.

There were many modes of transportation as with any country, but taxis, bus, train, walking and through the use of scooters.

Wine and Dining

The next topic of discussion was the food. Oh , but the food was truly scrumptious! It was always supported with bottled sparkling

natural mineral water. There were many places to go and enjoy a great meal. We dined at the following places: the Sheridan Roma, a restaurant in the Rome Colonna area and Rome Borgo~ Saturicus to name a few.

The Beauty Details

Through our walks and tours in Rome, I noticed quite a few Health and Wellness Centers. I admire how health and wellness is important to culture. In the midst of all that beauty in Rome, residents make time to incorporate health and wellness in their daily routines.

I also found beauty supply stores and Perfume Shops essential to supporting overall beauty.

So if you have vacationing on your list, be certain to check out Rome, Italy.., you will be glad you did!

Key areas to visit are not limited to: The Trevi Fountain, Imperial Forum,Rome-Quartiete Ostience, Rome San’ Eustachio, Rome Colonna, Piazzadi Spagna, The Vatican City & Museum and the Colosseum and many, many more historical sites and attractions. Mario Tricoci Presents DESTINATION Runway~ Mario Make Me A Model 2017. What a wonderful evening for a modeling competition. The evening started with a Pre-Event Reception at the beautiful Geraghty located in the Pilsen community in Chicago, Illinois.

Guests enjoyed mingling with attendees, having lite appetizers and adult refreshments. You were also able to get braiding, touch- up brows and other select mini- beauty make-overs performed by beauty professionals before the fashion event.

The kick- off to the event began with a welcome from our very own Megan Bueschel~ Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer at Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas.

The amazing anchor sponsors from WBBM Channel 2 Chicago featured Rob Johnson and Iris's Sargent as they opened up our runway explosion!

There were 5 featured designers that showcased their designs for DESTINATION Runway!! Those talented and successful artists are: SWABY, SUKI + SOLAINE, MISANTHROPE, GIDI, AZEEZA. So let's heat up the runway !

Designers during which finalists will be immersed with 20 professional models to walk the runway as the last piece of the competition.  I just love this concept!!!

Investment Reaffirms 900 North Michigan Shops Standing as Global Shopping Destination and Local Daily Getaway

CHICAGO, IL – 900 North Michigan Shops announced plans for phase two of a comprehensive modernization. The renovation will completely transform the visitor experience with a meticulously crafted plan of food, fashion, hospitality and entertainment that continuously adapts to consumers’ changing tastes and lifestyles. Bloomingdale’s and 70 retailers and restaurants will remain open and operational, and management will be proactively minimizing inconveniences to guests and tenants.

JMB Realty Corporation and affiliates, which own 900 North Michigan Shops and other retail properties on Rush and Walton streets, have transformed the retail mix from Michigan Avenue to Rush Street both on the street and inside 900. With newly leased spaces comprising 45,000 square feet, JMB keeps the merchandise mix fresh and current by working with luxury fashion houses and innovative brands including Dior, Versace, AllSaints, Aritzia, Bonobos, UNTUCKit, Kendra Scott, Ministry, and the expansion and redesign of a 13,000 square feet Gucci on two levels.

A Stylishly Intentional Transformation

The revitalization of the space will affect every corner of the center with a focus on the main grand entry, facades, ceilings, lighting, interior décor, acoustics, and a spectacular video art installation.

Shared work and social spaces, complemented by cafes and concierge services, will provide an environment designed to stimulate creativity and comfort and cater to the perpetually-connected guest.

Enhanced greenery and nature-inspired elements introduced into the space will evoke a park-like atmosphere and provide a daily getaway for office workers, nearby residents and tourists. Consideration went into spatial planning to allow for a diverse range of regular live performances throughout the year.

Existing atrium ceilings will be transformed into a digital art installation which will project a custom-produced myriad of compelling images and videos. At 184 linear feet, this will be the largest LED display of its kind and will transfix visitors of all ages with hours of content opening for the 2017 holiday season. 

Enhanced Food & Beverage

While the dining category at 900 North Michigan Shops is already vibrant with restaurants, casual eateries, and fast casual food options, the renovation will give the center an opportunity to augment its existing food and beverage program.

The 900 North Michigan Shops vision will be brought to life by design and concept firm, AvroKO, New York-based ESI Design, and Chicago-based OKW Architects.
